Follow a quiet mountain trail to a working distillery hidden inside a traditional alpine chalet, where local plants, mountain traditions and artisan spirit-making come together.
Your experience begins with a gentle 20-minute walk, snowshoe adventure or hike, depending on the season, offering the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the surrounding alpine landscape before arriving at the distillery.
Hosted by the distiller, you’ll discover the fascinating world of alpine botanicals and learn how locally foraged herbs, flowers and plants influence the character of traditional Valais spirits. Enjoy a tasting of herbal tisanes while gaining insight into the ingredients and techniques used throughout the distillation process.
The highlight of the visit is a hands-on spirit-making workshop, where the group will work together to create a shared spirit. Depending on the season and your interests, this may be a gin infused with mountain botanicals, a traditional absinthe, or an eau-de-vie inspired by local flavours.
Throughout the experience, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, learn about the craft directly from the producer, and gain a deeper understanding of the traditions that continue to shape life in the Alps today.
To complete the experience, each participant receives a take-home gift inspired by the workshop, providing a lasting reminder of their time at the chalet distillery.
